Moving grate composed of elements in Chrome-Steel alloy with a Chromium content of 27-30%, (code 1.4777).

Grate elements designed to operate up to 1,100° C in an oxidizing atmosphere.

The grate support structure is air-cooled to reduce the temperature avoiding the risk of ash melting and deformations.

Fuel is introduced into the combustion chamber by an auger equipped with a moto-variation or by a hydraulic pusher positioned above the grate and by gravity falls into the initial part of the grate evenly spreading over the grille itself.

The grate elements can have different profiles and dimensions depending on the size of the grate and the fuel.

In case of dry fuels (up to 30% of water content) and high dustiness, the moving elements of the grate do not require large amounts of basal air (called primary air), therefore the elements have few joints for the passage of the air.

In the case of wet fuels (up to 55% of water content), the grate elements are equipped with slots specifically designed to evenly spread the passage of primary air.

The lateral elements in contact with the wall of the combustion chamber are fixed to prevent the wearing down of the cement or the refractory bricks of the walls.

The grate can be composed of a single section and in this case the grid moves all at the same speed, or with multiple independent sections. Normally the limited Capacity boilers have a single section, while the large ones have multiple sections.

The grate movement is hydraulic with one or more pistons and is managed by a hydraulic unit equipped with an inverter motor.

The grill is air-cooled. The combustion air, passing through the grid, removes excess heat and mitigates the temperature, avoiding the risk of deformation.
